High-build gloss epoxy coating
Comforpox 870 HB Coating is a pigmented high-build epoxy coating with a hardness of more than Shore D90. Heavy-duty, glossy and applied in a single pass.
Comforpox 870 HB Coating sits between a thin roller-applied coating and a self-levelling resin floor: a high film thickness in a single pass, without the system and lead time of a poured system. With a hardness of more than Shore D90, a compressive strength of more than 70 N/mm2 and a flexural strength of more than 40 N/mm2, the floor takes heavy use.
The coating is classified as SR B2.0 AR1 IR4 according to EN 13813. In the Taber test with CS10 wheels, wear is approx. 40 mg after 1.000 cycles and approx. 56 mg after 1.500 cycles.
For ramps, loading bays and garages we add 3 to 5 per cent anti-slip additive or fully broadcast the scratch coat or first coating layer with quartz, so the grip is where it is needed without roughening the entire floor.
The coating follows the contours of the substrate, so we level an uneven floor beforehand. Keep the floor free of moisture for at least 72 hours after application, as early moisture exposure can cause white marks. The floor takes foot traffic after 24 hours, light loads after 48 hours and full loads after 7 days. A coating does not change the falls, so discuss drainage or gradient changes in advance.
