The versatile epoxy resin floor

Comforpox 800 SL E is the system we choose when a space needs a sealed, liquid-tight and easily cleaned floor without special requirements for conductivity, thermal shock or extreme chemical exposure. It is the broad middle of the range: robust, even and easy to maintain.

The floor is self-levelling. It flows out to a flat surface, even when the substrate is slightly uneven, and leaves no texture for dirt to settle in. The usual version has a thickness of approximately 4 mm.

• Food industry, breweries and other spaces with high hygiene requirements
• Printing works and production areas with chemical exposure
• Spaces where liquids are spilled and a liquid-tight floor is needed

Adapted to what the space requires

The system can be tailored to specific requirements. Where more grip is needed, we apply a slip-resistant finish. For electrostatically sensitive environments there is a version with ESD properties. The scratch coat beneath the self-levelling layer is classified SR B1.5 AR1 IR4 according to EN 13813, with fire class Efl.

What to bear in mind

Epoxy discolours in daylight. This does not affect performance, but in spaces with a lot of direct sunlight we recommend a polyurethane topcoat or a different system. The floor takes foot traffic 24 hours after application, light loads after 48 hours and full mechanical and chemical loads after 7 days. The moisture content of the substrate must be below 2.5 per cent.
