Comforcoat

Coatings for concrete floors

Comforcoat coatings make existing concrete floors dust-free and easier to clean. An economical choice for moderate loads.

When a coating is enough

Not every floor needs a system several millimetres thick. For a concrete floor that mainly has to be dust-free, sealed and easy to clean, a coating is often the sensible choice: considerably more economical, faster to apply and with less downtime. The Comforcoat series consists of those coatings.

The versions

  • Industry for commercial spaces with light to medium daily use.
  • 935 Rapid Recoat Matte for shops and public areas that can only close for a day: matt, highly wear-resistant and ready for foot traffic after one hour.
  • 910 C to renovate an existing polyurethane resin floor rather than replace it.
  • 915 WB as a vapour-permeable concrete coating for outdoors, where a vapour-tight coating would blister.

What a coating does and does not do

A coating follows the contours of the substrate. Unevenness, cracks and the texture of the concrete remain visible and are not concealed. If the floor has to be levelled, or if there are heavy point loads, chemical exposure or intensive wet cleaning, we recommend a self-levelling resin floor or a polyurethane cement system. We would rather say so beforehand than afterwards.

Speed as an argument

Most systems in this series take foot traffic 24 hours after application and full load after 7 days. With the fast-curing version a space can reopen the same day. For businesses that only have a weekend, that is often the deciding factor.
