QCF Quartz Colour Fine

Fine quartz floors with a slip-resistant finish

QCF floors are built up with coloured quartz granules. The slip resistance can be set per room and the floor remains easy to clean.

Quartz as the wear layer

A QCF floor is built up with coloured quartz granules of 0.3 to 0.8 mm or 0.8 to 1.2 mm in a thickness of 3 to 4 mm. The quartz is washed and kiln-dried, and naturally rounded by erosion in river beds rather than crushed. Round granules bond better in the binder, so the floor is less prone to breaking out under impact and wear. Colouring at high temperature with specially developed coatings makes it more wear-resistant and colourfast than dyed sand.

Slip resistance built in

The quartz texture gives a standard slip resistance of approximately R11. Where more is needed, we adjust it through granule size and finish.

Three speeds, the same floor

What sets the three versions apart is the binder, and with it how long your space has to close.

Completec QCF epoxy-based, with a normal lead time. The most economical route when the schedule allows, and with the smoothest topcoat of the three.
Completec QCF Fast with a fast-curing system and an MMA topcoat that takes foot traffic after one hour. Made for a weekend.
Comforcon QCF entirely based on methyl methacrylate, with every layer taking foot traffic after one hour. A new floor between closing time and the morning shift: closed at 22:30, in use at 6:00.

MMA has a downside worth stating: a very penetrating odour during application, and a topcoat that is slightly more matt than the epoxy version. If appearance outweighs lead time, choose Completec QCF. If a day of downtime costs more than the floor, choose Comforcon QCF.

What to bear in mind

A trowel-applied floor follows the contours of the substrate. Where falls are missing or insufficient, we adjust them in consultation. In use the floor takes on a matt appearance, and sunlight or chemical exposure may cause slight discolouration.
