Comforpark Deck parking deck coating in a car park with a red lane, grey parking bays and orange columns

Comforpark

Floor systems for parking decks

The Comforpark series was developed for car parks and parking decks. The systems are waterproof, crack-bridging and resistant to vehicle traffic.

A car park is not a flat floor

On a parking deck things go wrong not on the straight sections but on the ramp, in the bend and at the turning point, where vehicles brake, accelerate and turn on a stationary wheel. Add freeze and thaw on an open deck, and chlorides from de-icing salt migrating towards the reinforcement. The Comforpark series answers both: grip where the load is heavy, and waterproofing across the whole structure.

The versions

  • Deck AMA for the most heavily loaded areas: a waterproof, crack-bridging membrane with a coarsely broadcast wear layer that remains elastic even at minus 20 °C and is often back in use within a day.
  • Eco for lightly loaded facilities such as bicycle storage, storerooms, access galleries and plant rooms: seamless, slip-resistant through quartz broadcasting and considerably more economical.

Waterproofing is maintenance of the structure

Protecting a parking deck is about the concrete beneath the finish. Once water carrying chlorides reaches the reinforcement, damage begins that only structural repair can reverse. The membrane under Deck AMA is therefore also marked according to EN 1504-2, the standard for the protection of concrete structures.

Marking that does not wear away

Lanes, parking bays and walking routes can be worked into the floor finish itself in a contrasting colour, which outlasts painted lines that disappear after a winter of de-icing salt and sweepers.

Planning

Downtime of a car park costs money or goodwill directly. We work in sections and phases, and use fast-curing systems where possible so that a deck or ramp can reopen within a day.
