Hand-worked concrete look in a polyurethane resin floor
Comforpur 635 Betonlook is a seamless polyurethane resin floor in which several tones are worked into each other during pouring. The result is a nuanced concrete look that is unique to every floor.
The concrete look is popular because it is calm and does not date quickly. A real concrete floor, however, produces dust, cracks and feels cold. Comforpur 635 Betonlook gives the same appearance in a seamless polyurethane resin floor: warm underfoot, permanently elastic and fully sealed.
The pattern is created during pouring. We apply several coordinated tones and work them into each other on site. The result therefore differs per floor and per room, and deviates from samples and photographs. That is not a shortcoming but the nature of the system, and precisely why the floor looks lively rather than flat.
The self-levelling layer has a hardness of more than Shore D35 and is therefore considerably softer than an epoxy floor. That provides walking comfort and reduces impact sound. For apartments we can supply a sound-reducing underlay in the AC or AC plus version. The system is aliphatic and therefore UV-resistant and colourfast, suitable for underfloor heating, solvent-free and easy to clean.
Because the pattern is hand-worked, we recommend a trial area or a showroom visit rather than choosing from a photograph. Rubber can cause discolouration through plasticisers, so use felt pads. The floor takes foot traffic 24 hours after the topcoat, light loads after 48 hours and full loads after 7 days.
