Trowel-applied polyurethane cement with R11 anti-slip
Quartzline PU CEM TF is a heavy-duty polyurethane cement system with a broadcast R11 anti-slip finish. Depending on the thickness, it withstands temperatures up to 120 °C.
In a wet production area slip resistance is a health and safety requirement. Quartzline PU CEM TF is trowel-applied and broadcast with quartz, giving a slip resistance of R11: suitable for working floors where water, grease and oil reach the floor while heavy internal transport drives over it.
What sets this system apart from epoxy is not strength but the way it handles temperature. The floor tolerates severe temperature changes and thermal shock and, depending on the thickness, withstands temperatures up to 120 °C. Steam cleaning, hot rinse water and the route between freezer and production area are exactly where an epoxy floor debonds and this system stays put.
The system has a hardness of more than Shore D80, a compressive strength of more than 50 N/mm2 and an adhesion strength of more than 1.5 N/mm2 with concrete failure. The floor is fully liquid-tight, non-porous and hygienic, and resists aggressive chemicals such as acids, alkalis, solvents, fuels and oils.
The system is available in 4, 6 and 9 to 10 mm. The thickness partly determines the thermal and mechanical load capacity, so we choose it based on cleaning method, temperatures, axle loads and the type of transport.
At 20 °C the floor takes foot traffic after approx. 12 hours and is fully cured after approx. 24 hours. UV exposure can cause slight discolouration without affecting functional properties. A textured surface needs cleaning with a brush or scrubber-drier, so that dirt is lifted out of the profile.
